OUR TEAM

Heather Thomas (she/her)

Founder/Executive Director

“When the TN legislature began attacking my family in 2022, I knew I had to do more.  Then last year when the Covenant Community was treated the same as my family, and Allie Phillips along with other mothers who desperately needed reproductive health care, I began to see a trend.  Most TN legislators are out of touch and not listening to their constituents.  It is my passion and purpose to do whatever I can to make a Better Tennessee for All Tennesseans. I am learning that change only happens when people are willing to step into it. Join us!”

Dawn Davenport (she/her/they/them)

Development Coordinator

“I want to be an example to my children to show them wy it is important to fight oppression and to participate in the voting process.  My lgbt family and children are being senselessly threatened daily by our legislative body.”

Karin Fielder Weaver (she/her)

Fundraising Coach

“Our current state legislators are creating a place where my kids and loved ones aren’t safe - guns in schools, book bans, LGBTQ+ discrimination, and no ability to make our own reproductive choices. This is NOT the Tennessee I know and love.

TNMomPAC is working to get people with common sense into office - people who vote for what the vast majority of Tennesseans actually believe in. I want my state back, and I believe TNMomPAC is the way to do it.”

Joleyn Smithing (she/her)

Volunteer Coordinator

“It’s up to us to protect the children and families in Tennessee. Starting local promises to have the greatest impact on those we love the most.”

Angie Jones (she/her)

“I am supporting TN Mom Pac because it allows me to help all the causes I feel so strongly about in one place. I believe they are fighting the good fight for all Tennesseans.”

Barbara Higgins (she/her)

Research

“TN MomPAC is important to me because it works to support candidates and causes I believe in.  I want to be engaged politically so I can help effect change in our state.”
