Creating a caring, just, and affirming world for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.
Free Mom Hugs - Our goal is not to replace family relationships, but to display our celebration and love for the LGBTQIA+ community so that family members feel encouraged to do the same. Though we’re known as Free Mom Hugs, we welcome dads, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, grandparents, and friends to be part of this movement of inclusion fueled by love. Our desire is that this work restores relationships, and that families are reconciled through the hope and power of Sara and Parker’s story.

Tennessee Equality Project
The Tennessee Equality Project advocates for the equal rights of LGBTQ people in Tennessee. We do this through legislative advocacy. That means we lobby the Tennessee General Assembly and local governments around the state. When there is an important federal issue, like bills that include anti-LGBTQ adoption language, we help you make your voice heard with your federal officials.
ACLU- American Civil Liberties Union
We also work to extend rights to individuals and communities who have traditionally been denied their rights, including people of color; LGBTQ people; women; prisoners; people with disabilities; and the poor. If the rights of society’s most vulnerable members are denied, everybody’s rights are imperiled.

Moms Demand Action - Gun violence touches every town in America. For too long, life-saving laws have been thwarted by the gun lobby and by leaders who refuse to take common-sense steps that will save lives. But something is changing. Nearly 10 million mayors, moms, teachers, survivors, gun owners, students, and everyday Americans have come together to make their own communities safer. Everytown starts with you, and it starts in your neighborhood. By introducing evidence-based solutions in every town, we can end gun violence.

Vouchers
Recent studies find little evidence that vouchers improve test scores. In fact, they've sometimes led to declines. Big doubts remain about the cost, impact, and legal merits of a program that threatens to destabilize Tennessee's public education system.
